In fact every write attempt to your hard drive will make things worse as remnants of your data may get more and more overwritten.
You will not be able to recover these partitions by restoring Vista with the recovery CD. Unfortunately it seems you accidentally partitioned your whole drive replacing your Windows partitions with a single Ubuntu partition.
